Ever feel like money has taken over your every thought? The worry of having enough or stress of wanting more can mentally consume us. I don’t know about you, but this week I made a decision to stop allowing the thought of Money to have power over me. I’m ready to break free from the shackles of financial limitations and rediscover the path of financial freedom. Are you ready to release the power that money has over your mindset and take back control of your life too?
Ever watched one of the Batman movies? (Warning, I’m a big DC Comic, Marvel & Star Wars fan). When Gotham City is under siege by crime, corruption, and poverty there appears a glimmer of hope, a masked vigilante fighting for justice and restoring balance to the city. What do you think sets Batman apart from the rest? It's not just his gadgets or martial arts skills; it's actually… the power of his financial resources.
Bruce Wayne, the billionaire playboy behind the bat mask, leverages his wealth to fund his crime-fighting escapades. With a strong financial foundation, he transforms himself into a force for good, influencing change and making a real difference in the world.
What if you could leverage your wealth to fund a new business, give generously to a nonprofit or travel the world? Most of us were taught from an early age to worry about our financial future, not take action to leverage our money for our future. Imagine you've been working hard for months, saving up to take your family on a dream vacation. You excitedly get online to book it and to your shock the prices have increased by 50%. For many of us, the sadness would overwhelm us as our dreams crumble thinking all the hard-earned savings fell short.
However, what if we reframed the situation. What if we stopped allowing the power of money to overwhelm us and started looking for the opportunity to multiply it. Let’s draw financial wisdom from the Bible, where one of my favorite stories of financial multiplication unfolds. (Another reason why the Bible is my go to Financial Guide! )
In this situation, the enemy appears to be the limited savings. However it is actually our mindset that keeps us limited and powerless. Society, with its emphasis on instant gratification and consumerism, often leads us to believe that money is the root of all evil or that it's elusive, reserved only for the lucky few. It's this distorted perception that tries to hold us back and make us believe that financial freedom is out of reach.
However, in the Bible, we find a story that sheds light on the true power of money when used wisely. In the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30), a master entrusted his servants with different amounts of money (talents) while he was away. Two of the servants invested and multiplied their talents, while one buried his talent in fear of losing it. When the master returned, he commended the faithful servants who had increased their talents and condemned the one who hid his.
The moral of this biblical story resonates deeply with our quest for financial empowerment. The master represents the potential we all have to use our resources wisely, including our money. Just as the faithful servants multiplied their talents, we too can invest, grow, and multiply our financial resources to create a better future for ourselves and those around us.
Money, when viewed as a tool for personal growth, impact, and positive change, becomes a force that empowers us to take control of our lives. It's not about hoarding wealth or indulging in excess; it's about leveraging our financial resources to make a meaningful difference.
It's time to release the power that money has over us and take back control of our lives. Educate ourselves about personal finance, invest wisely, and leverage our resources to create opportunities for growth. I’m ready to let go of society's limiting beliefs and embrace God’s wisdom to multiply my money. Are you ready too?
Remember, financial independence is not about flaunting wealth or hoarding material possessions. It's about having the freedom to pursue our passions, provide for our loved ones, and make a positive impact in the world. So, start today. Taking small steps, let's learn from our mistakes, and let the power of God, not Money guide us towards a life of abundance and fulfillment.
In the words of the biblical passage, "For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away." (Matthew 25:29) Release the Power Money has over you and lean into the wisdom God has for the money He has entrusted you with. Use it wisely, becoming a better steward and watch as abundance flows into your life.
Now, lets go conquer our financial goals with enthusiasm, determination, and a dash of humor. (Did I mention my financial planner father was also a volunteer clown in the Shriner Circus when I was a kid?) I’m ready to let go of the feelings that I’ll never have enough and embrace in confidence that God will supply all my needs. I’m ready to lead by Faith not by the sight of the number in my accounts today. Lets create a life of purpose and impact. Let’s Unleash our financial potential to multiply and unlock the life God has planned for us!
